Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Midwest Nice UAS LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use DroneClear products and services ("Service").

What we do NOT collect: We do not use cookies for tracking, do not sell data to third parties, do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel, and do not collect personally identifiable information beyond what's needed to process your subscription.

2. How We Use Information

• To process and manage your subscription through Stripe
• To authenticate your access to Pro features
• To send billing receipts and material service updates
• To analyze aggregate (anonymized) usage patterns to improve the Service
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage and Security

Your subscription token is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It contains your email, subscription tier, and an expiry timestamp — no financial data. It is cryptographically signed and verified server-side on each request.

Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and governed by their Privacy Policy. We never store card numbers, CVV, or bank account information.

Analytics data is stored in Netlify Blobs and is anonymized — no IP addresses, no user identifiers, no session tracking across devices.

5. AI Query Data

When you use Wingman AI, your queries are sent to the AI provider (Anthropic, Google, or Groq) depending on your selected provider. Each provider's data handling practices apply to those queries. We log aggregate query categories (e.g. "compliance question," "component lookup") but not the content of individual queries.

Queries sent via the server-side Claude proxy are not logged by us beyond aggregate category counts.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us
• Portability: We can provide your data in a machine-readable format on request
• Opt-out: You can opt out of aggregate analytics by using Wingman in your browser's private/incognito mode

7. Data Retention

Subscription records are retained as required by tax law (typically 7 years). Anonymized analytics data is retained for 90 days on a rolling basis. Browser-stored tokens expire after 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
